Much better. That was very stress-relieving to sound like a kid learning to read, wasn't it? It wasn't? Oh.... well, it was for me. Who wants to say words how they were "supposed" to be read? That's not nearly as entertaining. ;)

ANYWAYS..... The whole reason I am writing this, is because I want to show off my new knife, which, as soon as I show my dad tonight, will be wrapped in beautiful wrapping paper and set under my tree, for me to open on Christmas morning. HOW FUN IS THAT? Oh... not very fun? You really must not like fun. Anyways, it WILL be fun.... at least for me. :D

Alright, I know this little blog is way different from what I normally do, but hey, random is FUN. Or at least, it can be if you let it. :D

I recently wrote these poems as a final project for one of my classes, and I really like them. :D They're great, in my opinion. hehe And it makes me feel like no matter what, if I need to, I can put a poem on paper in under 15 minutes. (Which comes in handy. ;D) But i really had a lot of fun working on them. :)

Time for an update

Alright, so, pretty much, my life is BORING. haha But yeah, I decided to update everyone anyways. In case you haven't noticed, I changed my background. (Hurray for Victorian stuff, which reminds me of Lucy's era.... hmm.... random thought. I should start a blog about my story and vampire stuff. haha) Anyways..... I'm digging the background.

UPDATES:
1. I finished my story! (Yes, I've been "finished" about 4 times now. haha) But as of now, the only edits I make are grammatical. I will only change punctuation or words if they are spelled incorrectly or make no sense. End of story. haha

2. I am still currently "supporting" a missionary, which lovely Ali was so kind to mention in her blog. hehe Alright, we've not been writing. But only because I haven't received one from him. :( But I told myself that would change. I'm in process of writing him a letter. :D haha

3. I lead a boring life. Not really news to anyone, but it's true. I'm not going to an ice skating thing tonight because I'm dirt poor when it comes to cash. :P In other words, the only cash I have with me is 11 CENTS. haha ALL in pennies. So yeah, I missing out on meeting a guy, or catching up with old friends, or making new ones, or whatever. But hey, I get to sleep instead. :D

4. I'm WAY FLIPPIN EXCITED FOR THE GIRLS' NIGHT! Now, I hope that wasn't too subtle. ;) haha But yeah, I can't wait to get out of the house. (*Note to self: Get the food. haha) But yeah, I can't wait to catch up with everyone and hear about their lives and stuff.

5. I have gotten "OFFICIALLY" two A- and an A, but that's cuz the other 2 classes haven't posted their grades, and it's ticking me off, because I want to be done!!!! haha

6. I turn twenty 3 weeks from Wednesday. (2 weeks from Christmas Eve, 1 week from New Years' Eve, and then my bday.) And I'm like freaking out. I don't want to be older. I'm still technically 11 emotionally, and sometimes I think mentally. But hey, I can't stop time. And maybe Heavenly Father made me childlike for a reason. Or it's just how I am. IDK. But I'm really getting nervous about turning twenty. idk why. Oh, and I'm thinking about having a party that weekend. (;D Way exciting, huh? haha JK) I don't know what I'm going to do, but I'm going to do something. hehe

IDK Anymore

As my title says, I just don't know anymore.

First off, I have three major assignments due tomorrow. Well, two things, but I'm doing three. Plus random small assignments that I have.

To add another thing of stress to my life, i found out today that I am missing 3 classes and a few credit hours. For crying out loud, you advisers need to make up your minds about whether someone is doing well or not! So who knows what will happen with that. I could try to cram some classes in next semester, but most of the classes are during other classes I have, or I could do summer school, which would be tricky, especially if I make it into the LDS Young Performing Stage Missionary at Nauvoo.

So, I've got that stress on me. There's more little things, but I don't dare mention them, and I doubt I could.

I found out that Obama wants to create a program of Mandatory civil service, and if it becomes a reality, I will either become a hermit in the desert or forest or something, or else they can shoot me down, because I am NOT going to boot camp, no matter what anyone says. To me, it seems like they're creating another Hitler's Youth group. Hopefully the Lord will stand with those of us that are righteous and help us keep ourselves free.

It seems as it gets closer to the end of the semester, the more and more frazzled and confused I become. I have had a few happy things happen lately. (Mainly, I finished my story, although I am editing it for grammar now. And it's going to be a Christmas present for at least one person.) Other than that, school has just been one load of crap after another, and I'm ready to be done.

I am hoping the Lord will help me through this time when I am struggling and wanting to be done. As Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin said, "Come what may and love it." It's hard, but hopefully I'll be able to in time.

Ponderings

I've been thinking about lots of things recently. Most of it not so happy. It's either a list of things I need/have to do, school (never fun to think about), and just life in general.

I think I'll hit these topics in order.

First: The list of things I need/have to do.
It's never fun to think about these kinds of things. In face, I absolutely loathe having to think about things that I need to do, no matter what it's for. I've got so many projects going on that it's crazy. (Most of it is tied in with school) But I really, just don't want to think about it anymore. Because then I get depressed.

Second: School
Need I say more? I've got 3 essays due in the next 2 weeks, a quiz tonight, a test tomorrow, a Word project (which is fun, but time consuming). Added to just the workload, I've got work, I need to get another job volunteering, and projects pretty much out of the wazoo. So, pretty much not fun. I swear school is a killer.

Third: Life in General.
Alright, this section could be long.... I've lot a lot on my mind. First, I need to decide if I'm going to audition for a performing mission in Nauvoo, Illinois. (Leaning towards a yes on that one.) I need to make the DVD by November and get it sent in. Problem with that is that I don't know how to do the scales with my voice. But that I can learn. Alright, second is the fact that my whole life is changing. I've got a dilemma. Either I need to work and start paying my parents back, or I need to continue working, only for volunteer. Or cut down my hours to a bare minimum. =/ Not looking forward to having to make that choice, but my dad's business is struggling at the moment, so I'm going to have to work with it. Plus, alongside all of this, I have to decide if I'm waiting for my friend or just supporting him on his mission. Now, I know things could happen. A LOT of things could happen, and I'm not letting him know what I decide. No matter what, I will support him.... it's the whether I'm waiting or not that's the problem. Anyways, that's about it. I'm also back to revising my story, which has come past the halfway point. (Halle-flippin-lujah) So I'm working on that and it's turning out pretty good, imo.

Alright, sorry for the novel of my life. Sometimes I just need to get things off my chest, and this is one way that I can. I'm sorry about not posting very often.... I'm like my character in my story, except she writes in a diary, and this is a blog. Anyways, for anyone reading this, totally sorry about the depressing stuff. Hopefully my next one will be better.

Garnet... again

Most of you know I've been working on a story. Well, it's called Garnet, and for those of you who have read Dracula, it's about the character Lucy Westenra. Or at least, it's the story from her point of view, meaning she has NO idea what's going on, although I do have her understand a few things. (Random, I know, but people are like, "She has to know what's going on." Well she doesn't. :P)


Anyways, I had taken a break from it, because I had writers' block, and in the middle of the second revision, and it's hard to write if you have the block. It's been a couple of months, but now I'm back to working on it. So far, I'm maybe halfway through chapter 4, well, little over half with the revisions, and I'm at 27 pages. I believe the prologue, plus the first four chapters will make an amazing 30 or 31 pages. Which, is almost half the story. Granted, with my revision, I've added a lot to the first 5 chapters (including the prologue).

It's been fun to work with the characters. There are some that I started with that had a minimal part, but have been given more. There are others that got completely reworked and/or removed/replaced from the story. From all the things I've seen/read about Dracula and others' interpretations of it, they've made Lucy seem like a ditzy blonde. And well.... that just didn't seem like the person I imagined her to be. I thought, yes, she's rich, so she's a little spoilt, she's got a carefree attitude, and a touch of blondeness (like me), but she's not a total ditz. I've given her some depth so she's not just a little random, gorgeous, rich girl that Dracula randomly chose. Remember, he thinks methodically, so he can't have said, "Oh, she's gorgeous, I think I'll just pick her." I'm sure he had to study her character, he had to work on her mind without her knowing. For goodness sake, she went to school, why not give her a decent brain? lol ANyways, I'm gonna end that rant. XD

It's amazing to me how much work goes into a story. Just a story that's like 70 pages takes a lot of effort. And I can't wait to see where this story heads. I've got so many different ideas plaguing my mind for stories that want to come out. With those ideas are one that isn't related, but I think I'm going to make a to do list of things before I die. I mean, seriously, I think it'd be good to have goals. And if I can complete even a few of them, I think I could be happy. I mean, I'll be happy no matter what, but you know what I mean. :P

Anyways, I'll post my list later. (I've only got maybe 4 or 5 right now. :) It'll grow.)
