First Award

I got my first blog award from Ali.

I guess I am supposed to blog about seven things and then pass it on to 15 more bloggers.

1. I finished college in 3 1/2 years. And boy am I glad to be done!!! Now if only I could find a real full time teaching job. :S

2. I married my husband after a whirlwind 6 months of knowing each other. For me, that's fast, and for him, that's fast. lol I wouldn't have it any other way, though. He's the best husband ever! Most of the time I think I don't deserve him! He puts up with everything from me. Bad days and days where I'm bouncing off the walls. :)

3. I LOVE to bake. I liked baking when I lived with my parents, but since I got married and have an oven that doesn't ruin my cookies (even thought it is an OLD oven), I LOVE it!!!! I make cookies, brownies, bread..... All fattening stuff..... No wonder I'm gaining weight! :O

4. I hate exercise. I don't mind feeling sore after a workout, and if it's something I like, I don't mind doing it (ie horseback riding), but even though I say I need to work out, I don't, because it's boring. I guess I need to get over it and just burn off my pounds I've gained. lol (I need to start jump roping.)

5. I love teaching 5th grade! I haven't taught 6th yet, and 4th is okay, but if I have a choice, I honestly never want to leave 5th! They haven't all gotten hormones like the older kids, but you can joke with them like you can't with the younger grades. And they sit still a lot better..... Or maybe it was the class I was in. lol

6. If I could accomplish anything, it would be publishing a book that everyone wants to read. I love writing, and while I currently don't have much time to work on my stuff, what with subbing and working and everything, I want to get books published! So, when I have time, I'll just slip in some writing. (And I carry paper everywhere with me, just in case I get an awesome idea!

7. I am super shy. If you saw me, you would come up with that on your own. I don't just go up to people and introduce myself. It makes things interesting when you move into a new ward. I'm getting over it, though, and I'm finally getting to know some people around here. :) So, I'm working on it, and we'll see what happens! It doesn't help that I always feel like I'm butchering what I'm saying, or I feel like I'm saying the wrong thing.

That's me!! And since I don't have quite that many followers or people that I know that blog, I'll let anyone do it that wants to.

LOVE IT!!!

I did the thing in my last post, and I've done this today. So much fun! Forgive the sideways ness and the crappy quality. I took it with my phone.

I had someone say they look like tattoos and actually asked me to design something for her. Does it make me a bad person for designing stuff for tattoos? I design it more for fun. And it's not like I make any money for it.

We all should gain this wonderful Christ-like attribute!!

Editing

So, I know I only updated yesterday, but I just wanted it to be known that I've finished editing Garnet.

I only need to update it in my computer, see if my mom/sister want to go through and edit it, and then we'll see about getting it published!!!

Story Update: Garnet

So, I'm STILL working on this. I have to print out some pages that are missing (DARN!!!) but I'm over halfway done with my final editing.

My goals after that:

See if my mom/sister want to read through it one last time for editing

Get it published!

We'll see how it goes, and I'll definitely keep you all updated..... Unless you don't want to be. Then I'll stop updating. It's up to you.

Productive

Ever have days where you're really productive and get things done?

Yeah. I had one of those yesterday.

It was awesome.

I wish they happened more often.

Sub job 4

So, my last sub job was way different from anything else I've done so far in subbing!

I was at a different school (so I was nervous about that, even though it's the same program) and it was a 2 day job! Overall, it was pretty good. The kids were pretty well behaved (albeit, they were a little chatty lol) and it was very similar to the other school I've subbed at. Biggest difference is that South campus is a portable elementary school. The only buildings that are not portable are the kitchen and they gym.

It was lots of fun, and I'm so glad I was able to sub there! The principal walked through on the first day I subbed and remembered me! :O I was shocked. But it made me glad. :) We'll see how many sub jobs I get now. :)

On a different, but same note, I get to sub for a teacher at East campus again in 2 weeks. :) Obviously I was good enough to want to have me back again. :) That will bring my number of jobs up to 5! Exciting stuff!!! :D
